He keeps saying that people don’t get arrested for possession or use in Europe, but that’s not true. Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands don’t arrest for use or possession (usually), but most of the other countries do. The laws in Sweden and several East European countries are just as strict as in the US.
this man is great, he needs to get on good morning america , or regis and say that stuff!
the DEA makes so much money by letting criminal organizations get larger while they investigate for like a couple years until they know where the money is than raid the place. So why would they let marijuana be decriminalize or be legal…..when they make so much money off it when its illegal. Prisons get more packed and stocks go up. its a rich mans world.
America – it’s time to Stand Up and Tell the Government What We Want, not, What They Think is Good For Us. They Work For Us, NOT Us for Them. We the People are the Government While Politicians are there to Represent us and our wants, not to Restrict Us with their Morals Beliefs.
wow i thought he was just a travel nerd…this dude is on point!
But it would reduce the governments bottom line. Geez, I hear the Waaaambulace coming!
I had two friends who got into Marijuana, and neither is doing very well. One had an addictive personality, got married, divorced with a kid, got kicked out of junior college, and only in his 40s did he finally buy a home.
The other was a straight laced guy who delivered beer, but told me over the phone that he had to finish off a bag once he started it. His life has gone a similar path as the first guy.
THZ reqires your brain. It does NOT merely relax and sedate you.
its called thc.
and you’re friends would probably have ended up the same way without the pot.
youre right, traveling helps to open ones mind
Aaahhhhhh…….good common sense……music to my ears.
THC, yes, I stand corrected.
As for my friends; doubtful. One of them may need some very mild psyciatric treatment (addictive personality and all), but the other just fell for the drug like so many others. The guy who got them into it was a short blonde dude who couldn’t keep a promise if his life depended on it.
His dad was a cop. Beats me how he ever got into the stuff. Could be because his parents were divorced.
high fructose corn syrup is the very first gateway drug kids come across. just look at those little junkies. all wired and demanding just like typical junkies.
lazrul.. you are correct….. I consider refined, powdered sugar a drug, refined white flour is a drug, high fructose corn syrup is a drug, etc… if you want to see the side effects of these drugs, step outside and look at the obese people. I agree with the “man” that synthetic, processed intoxicants like cocaine and meth are dangerous, but only because synthesis and processing make them way more potent than they ought to be.
I agree totally and this has been my view for some time about where you talk about how drugs like cocaine and meth are processed to make them more potent. You don’t have to put cannabis through a process to gain more benefit from it. You can simply smoke or eat more of it. It is not necessary to do to get the desired effect from the plant. It is also a part of nature. Would it be logical to try and eradicate any plant entirely to keep people from using it for natural benefit?
not only should pot be legalized it should be mandatory, regulating cannabis would help the hemp industry in america take off………….explosive.research hemp friend me..
your friends had problems before they picked up a joint.
Not really.
then i’m sorry but your story doesn’t add up.
Whatever.
Rick Steves for President.
This guy is a class act. I love his travel tips in Europe.
hell ya rick is a well spoken toker, i love it
RICK STEVES THIS BUDDS FOR YOU BROTHER
@IFlick Rick Steves is great. He’s always got the same common-sense approach, whether it’s travel or smoke.
Rick Stevens lead me to visit the Tomb of The Hapsburg’s in an abby Basement under the streets in old Vienna. They’re all their in a catacomb in these very ornate caskets. I smoked a big joint before going down to find my favorite Hapsburg. I wonder if Rick did as well?
@IFlick Awesome!!!
